CNBNEWS.NET Undefeated Brooklawn is one game away from going to the World Series (August 12-16) in Shelby NC. They will return for the championship round tomorrow Monday at 1pm to face Boyertown Bears who they beat on Friday night 9-5. Brooklawn must be beaten twice by the Bears .

 

The second game if needed will be played at 7PM. Earlier today Boyertown defeated Middletown, Delaware 12-2. The game was stopped in the seventh under the 10 run mercy rule.

 

Today’s game, which ended at 8PM, had Brooklawn playing South Charleston, West Virginia. The game was tied 2-2 up until the 8th inning when Brooklawn scored three runs. The Brookers got another run in the ninth. The final 6-2 Brooklawn.

We just wanted to thank the the GCLL coaches for having a batting clinic this winter. It was held every Friday night at batarama from 6pm. to 8pm. We just want the people of Gloucester city to recognize all the time and effort that our coaches give to our kids. We are sure all their, hard work this winter will payoff this spring.

We also would like comment on the great 2010 season we had and what a noticeable turn around the GCLL made. It’s an organization we can be proud of, from better uniforms and equipment the much improved snack stand not to mention all the care given to fields. We think anyone who donates any money to GCLL this spring can feel good knowing it will actually trickle down to our kids.

Again just want to thank all to volunteers and coaches for taking time away from their families to give to our kids.

The Riversharks’ Outfielder Has Been Assigned to AAA Tucson 

 CAMDEN, NJ. The Riversharks have announced today that Drew Macias will return to the San Diego Padres and has been assigned to AAA Tucson. 

Macias was the Rivershark’s leader in on-base percentage at .366 and was 5th on the team with eight home runs this season. Macias is batting .267 and has 63 hits over 74 games played, with 31 RBI and is just coming off an outstanding series in Lancaster during which he belted a pair of homers and two doubles in the three games.
