The Riversharks Closer Headed to AAA Reno $\"Sportzcentral$

The Camden Riversharks are pleased to announce that relief pitcher Brian Stokes has been signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks organization. The former major leaguer will report to the Class AAA Reno Aces of the Pacific Coast League.

Stokes has been an integral part of the Camden bullpen this season appearing in 31 games, posting a 3.47 ERA with a team-high 11 saves. He allowed just one run in his final 18 appearances with the ‘Sharks.

Bristol\’s Steve Arthur won the pitching award at the state tournament. He went 2-0 with a 1.59 ERA in 17 innings, including a complete game vs. Boyertown for the title. Middletown won the Delaware title over Stahl 7-1, with just nine players available for the game. Brooklawn (39-4) earned its 25th New Jersey championship with a 19-7 victory over Bordentown (31-10). Pitcher Andrew Schorr, who picked up the win with 31/3 innings of relief, is an East Carolina recruit.

Has a loud-mouthed blogger been silenced by threats from the local elite?

Aaron Proctor, the former site\’s 29-year-old author and a self-described \”Tea Party patriot,\” has made a name for himself throughout the past few years for being a firebrand — even by Philly standards.
