Video: The Grand Hotel- Take A Glass Together! -cnbnews.net

I love this scene from the 1990 Broadway play The Grand Hotel. The two dancers/singers are Brent Barrett and Michael Jeter.

Jeter, died in 2003 from AIDS at the age of 50, dances as though he is floating on air. His woebegone look, extreme flexibility, and high energy led Tommy Tune to cast him in the off-Broadway play, Cloud 9, and again on Broadway in the memorable role in the musical Grand Hotel, for which he won a Tony Award in 1990.

New Cancer Vaccine Coming -cnbnews.net

ScienceDaily (June 20, 2011) – Mayo Clinic investigators and collaborators from the United Kingdom cured well-established prostate tumors in mice using a human vaccine with no apparent side effects. This novel cancer treatment approach encourages the immune system to rid itself of prostate tumors without assistance from toxic chemotherapies and radiation treatments. Such a treatment model could some day help people to live tumor free with fewer side effects than those experienced from current therapies.

The findings appear in the journal Nature Medicine.

Kings Highway to be closed for railroad-crossing repairs in East Greenwich -cnbnews.net

(Trenton)– The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) today announced that a \"Drainco portion of Kings Highway (CR 551) in East Greenwich will be temporarily closed in order to rehabilitate a Conrail freight railroad grade crossing.

Kings Highway is scheduled to be closed to traffic at the railroad crossing between Berkley Road and Whiskey Mill Road from Thursday, June 23 at 6 a.m. to Friday, June 24 at around 6 p.m., weather dependent.

· Motorists heading south will take Berkley Road (CR 678) to W. Cohawkin Road (CR 667) to Kings Highway.

· Motorists heading north will take W. Cohawkin Road (CR 667) to Berkley Road (CR 678) to Kings Highway.

The detour routes were coordinated with East Greenwich Police. Access will be maintained to businesses and properties.

In order to provide a safer and smoother railroad crossing on Kings Highway, NJDOT will replace the existing crossing with a new concrete freight rail crossing and repave the asphalt approaches. The cost of the work is $98,500. This project is part of NJDOT’s ongoing railroad grade-crossing safety program which repairs, upgrades or removes approximately 30 crossings each year.

The precise timing of the work mentioned in this advisory is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website www.511nj.org for construction updates and real-time travel information.
