GHS COACH FAHY RESIGNS-Gloucester City High School head baseball coach \"6a00d8341bf7d953ef01156f3a3a4c970c-120wi\"

Kevin Fahy is stepping down after six seasons at the helm. Fahy wants to spend more time with his family. His wife gave birth to a baby boy in May. The couple also have a three -year- old daughter.

Fahy was an assistant with the Lions for three years before taking over the reins, and also assisted at his alma mater, Gloucester Catholic. He didn’t rule out the possibility of reappearing down the road as an assistant, but seemed to be sure that his days as a head coach are over.

Fahy told Gloucester County Times reporter Scott Chappelear, \”I can’t envision myself being a head coach again,\” said Fahy. \”You never know what the future holds, and maybe if I could come back and help somebody out I would do that. I’m glad it was something I was able to experience, but it’s a safe bet I won’t be a head coach again.\”

Coach Fahy compiled a record of 80-61 over the six years. This year was his best, with 15 wins and 7 losses and a No. 4 seed in the Group I playoffs.

Fahy will remain the boys basketball JV coach.

BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR-A reader of CNBNews recently contacted the corporate office of the Bottom Dollar Food chain asking about the delay in construction of their new store at the intersection of Browning and Creek Roads in Bellmawr. The response reads in part,

Bottom Dollar Food remains committed to the Bellmawr market, and we are very eager to open a store at this location. We believe the community would benefit from our unique offering of high-quality food at low prices. Currently, we have temporarily stopped construction at this site due to a matter unrelated to our organization. We look forward to resuming construction as soon as possible. It was signed, Tenisha K.
