Letters: Looking for William H. Carr, GHS Class of 1968

\"6a00d8341bf7d953ef0115709f053f970c-800wi\" My name is Gary Badger, I graduated from Gloucester City High School with the Class of 1968. I went in military and left the area. 

I\’m looking for a school mate, he also graduated in from GHS 1968. His name is William H. Carr, he had an older sister, Francis. I believe his mother was a proof reader for the Gloucester City News in the 50\’s & 60\’s. His mothers name may have been Ms. Beckett or something similiar. Someone told me that Ms. Beckett moved to California to live with her daughter.

Never the less, I sure would like to locate my old H.S. Friend. They use to all live on 
Oxford Ave in Gloucester Heights, later on they moved to the Highland Park Apartments and were living there when I left to serve in the U.S. Navy.

Doris E. Pettit, 86, of Gloucester City former PECO Employee

PETTIT Doris E.-On October 8, 2010, (nee Stetser) a lifelong resident of Gloucester City. Age 86 yrs. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Pettit (Ott). She is survived by her cherished dog Ginger and dear friends Glenn and Susan Adams. 

Mrs. Pettit worked at PECO in Phila. for over 25 years prior to her retirement and also volunteered at Underwood Memorial Hospital for many years. 

Relatives and friends are invited to meet Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME 700 Powell St., Gloucester City. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Woodbury Memorial Park, West Deptford. In lieu of flowers the family has requested Memorial Donations in Mrs. Pettit’s name be made to the First Baptist Church of Gloucester City, Monmouth & Sussex Streets, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. www.etheringtonfh.com
