Coaching Videos Available Through WBCA, Xpressplay Partnership

press release August 30

ATLANTA – The Women\’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) is proud to \"CNB announce Xpressplay Online Game Management and Exchange as an official provider partner.

The centerpiece of the partnership is the use of Xpressplay’s technology and expertise in filming and editing to provide access to videos of the WBCA’s on-court clinics held during the 2010 National Convention in San Antonio, Texas. With nine presentations by top women’s basketball coaches, including Jeff Walz (Louisville), Lin Dunn (Indiana Fever) and Agnes Berenato (Pittsburgh), these videos are the cornerstone of the Association’s newly re-launched website, www.wbca.org, allowing WBCA members access to professional development year-round.

Beginning in 2010, Xpressplay and the WBCA have teamed up to provide WBCA members and non-members a convenient way to purchase and download their very own copy of these valuable videos, either individually or as a set through Xpressplay’s website, www.xpressplay.com. Both individual videos and the entire set are available via downloadable files or a DVD. A portion of each sale goes to the WBCA’s Betty F. Jaynes Internship Program, which gives seven young professionals an opportunity to work in women’s sports each year.

\”We’re proud to be a provider partner of the WBCA and to offer this valuable service,\” says co-founder Beth Kane. \”It’s another way we provide online video solutions that enable sports teams to improve their performance. Coaches will have on-demand access to these clinic videos, and can download the ones they want, edit them or use them however they want.\”

Xpressplay provides video exchange services that enable sports teams to manage their video exchange online and digitally – eliminating form letters, physical media copies, shipping hassles – making opponent scouting faster and more efficient. Xpressplay also offers a video-based recruiting service which enables athletes and their agents to promote themselves through online video.

A Visit to Okagaki and the Naritasan Fudoji Temple

WHEN EAST MEETS WEST
Commentary by Hank F. Miller Jr.

Great natural beauty, history and tradition, peaceful scenery, and the friendly local \"Hank citizens. Okagaki is a town to make you feel happy, and right at home and only 20 minutes from our home. We have been going there since 1983. It’s the most relaxing place with beautiful scenery.

Quiet and somehow familiar scenery greets you here: the sparkling waters of the Hibiki Sea, the grandeur of the Sanri Matsubara Pine Forest, and the beautiful landscape.

Naritasan Fudoji Temple is where our pictures are taken. This shingon Buddhist temple is famed for its cherry blossoms, and attracts many worshippers from around Japan for a variety of prayers, including freedom from disasters, longevity, luck, and traffic safety.

During the major festivals, believers read their prayers aloud from the small boards they are written on, and then cast them into the flames in a special ceremony. The believers also walk on fire here in a ceremony of esoteric Buddhism. The view from the temple grounds is superb, covering all of Sanri Matsubara and, on a clear day one can \"Hank see all the way to Honshu.

Warm regards from Kitakyushu-city, Japan

\"!cid_image001_jpg@01CA639E\" Leading the Ducks will be a trio of experienced captains in senior goalkeeper Ellyn Griggs (Hillsborough, N.J.), senior forward Lauren Griggs (Hillsborough, N.J.), and juniorMallory Swanson (Princeton Junction, N.J.).

Griggs was a first-team All-Empire 8 performer in 2009 and is one of the hardest workers in the history of the program. She was 17-4 between the pipes and compiled a goals-against average of 0.84. Hyundai steers business to the port | South Philly Review

More than 10,000 shiny, new vehicles have been packed and shipped on approximately 12-story vessels from South Korea and unloaded at the port for last-minute preparations prior to shipping them to dealerships. And there are many more on the way.

Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors began delivering to the Packer Avenue Marine Terminal, Packer Avenue and Columbus Boulevard, with five shipments already here and two more expected to arrive tomorrow and Saturday bringing in more than 17,000 automobiles to prepare for sale this month alone.

\”Contracts have been negotiated between various parties as the facility has been built out and when we were finally ready with contracts secured and a proper facility, we have begun to receive vessels,\” Robert C. Blackburn, senior deputy executive director of the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority, said.

The first vessel, Hyundai 203, arrived Aug. 2 with crews unloading 1,811 vehicles the following morning at 8. About 3,400 were unloaded Aug. 14 plus 1,500 more the next day. About 2,500 cars on average will be unloaded from each vessel, Blackburn said.

Black Conservatives React to Obama Speech on Iraq

August 31, 2010 Washington, D.C. – With President Barack Obama\’s announcement tonight of what he considers to be the end of combat operations in Iraq, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are speaking out about this administration\’s approach to operations in the Iraq theater and the debt of gratitude owed to our nation\’s armed forces.

Coby Dillard: \”As a Navy veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, no one is prouder than I to see our troops return from combat. However, President Obama made his speech tonight more about the fulfillment of a campaign promise than about the brave, honorable and victorious service of our fighting men and women. It is unfortunate to see him attempt to lay claim to a victory that his brief voting record in the Senate and remarks as a presidential candidate shows he didn\’t support and whose end was negotiated by President George W. Bush — the same Bush whose policies and actions Obama routinely speaks of as \’failed.\’
