On May 25, 2010. Age 79. Of Voorhees. Loving daughter of the late William Messler and Florence (nee Washer). Beloved Sister of Evelyn Messler and Dorothy Messler. Survived and cared for by her cherished friends and staff of the Judith B. Flicker Residences at Voorhees. Beatrice loved her friends and worked at the Burlington County Occupational Training Center in Mount Holly. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10 am at Holy Maternity R.C. Church: 431 West Nicholson Road, Audubon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am in the church. Interment Land of Canaan Cemetery, Elk Towsnhip. There will be no evening viewing and no viewing at the funeral home. Little League’s Peter J. McGovern Museum will be one of many museums across the county offering free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families this summer as part of an initiative by Blue Star Museums. More than 600 museums are taking part in the initiative that will run from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and the participating museums announced the program today. Museums in all 50 states and the District of Columbia have joined forces with Blue Star Museums to make this offer. NJDEP Division of Fish & Wildlife – Angler Lands World Record Red Hake Off Jersey Coast

The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has confirmed that Billy Watson from Lansdale, Pennsylvania has officially become a member of an elite fishing club by catching a new world record Red Hake, Urophycis chuss. The 12 pound 13 ounce fish, also known as a Ling, was caught on February 20, 2010 approximately 20 miles ESE of Manasquan NJ. The fish measured 33 inches in length and had a girth of 19 inches. It surpassed the previous state record of 11 pounds, 1 ounce set in 2002 by Natalie Jones for a fish caught off Brielle.

Billy was bottom fishing at the Mud Hole on the Jamaica II with Captain Steve Spinelli at the helm when he hooked the big fish. He was using a St Croix medium heavy rod and a Diawa Saltese 20H reel loaded with 50 pound Power Pro line and a Gulp 2\” Glo Shrimp for bait.

Soccer fans across the Philadelphia region are anxiously awaiting June 27, when Philadelphia Union is slated to play their first game at their home field, PPL Park. The waterfront stadium in Chester will offer suites, a full–service club restaurant, a built–in concert stage, with seating as close to the field as regulations allow.

The team recently announced that season ticket packages have sold out, but single–game tickets are available for purchase at www.philadelphiaunion.com.
