GLOUCESTER CITY NJ-An estimated crowd of around 300 people, mostly local and out of town firefighters, their family members and their supporters, packed the Gloucester City Community Hall, on Nicholson Road Thursday night to voice their opposition to a proposed cutback in the local fire department. If there were any people who favored the reduction in force in lieu of raising taxes they soon disappeared or sat very quietly.

Square Apartment Complex is set to begin on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 5 PM with the official ground breaking ceremony. The City, in conjunction with developer, Orens Brothers of Philadelphia, is set to convert the 100-apartment complex into 50 town houses.

Please come out to welcome home PFC Danyelle Renee Cormaney from serving in Iraq.

Danyelle made the choice to join the US Army when she was 18 yrs old. She did her Basic Training at Ft. Jackson and then moved on to Ft. Gordon for AIT.

She was then stationed at her home base at Ft Stewart. She then got her orders to deploy to Bagdad, Iraq in January 2010. In the time there she survived numerous attacks on her base but still finds the time to work a full time job, take online college classes and even fits in some softball.

She is a true American Patriot who signed the dotted line and is willing to put her own life ahead of ours.

Please come out to welcome her home at the date, time and place listed above. The Warrior Watch Riders, Yellow Ribbon Club, Gloucester City Fire and Police and the citizens of Gloucester City will be on hand to make some noise.

Fishkill, N.Y. – Siena College sophomore second baseman Dan Paolini has been named the 2010 MAAC Baseball Player of the Year and headlines the 2010 All-MAAC Teams, as voted on by the MAAC\’s head coaches.

Paolini, last season\’s MAAC Rookie of the Year, posted a .368 batting average (78-212) during his second season for the Saints. He has also registered a league-best .816 slugging percentage, 62 runs scored, 64 runs batted in, 13 doubles and a conference-high 26 home runs for the Green and Gold this year.
