Pet Tip of the Week: Stopping a Dog Fight

(A Change of Topics)…Due to the recent number of minor (but still troubling) dog-on-dog skirmishes in and around our area I will be addressing that topic this week.

If you are walking your dog and following all the city’s requirements about leashing and cleaning up after him you know you are a responsible dog owner, right? But what if you encounter dogs without their owners, dogs that are left outside to aggress at anything that passes by? Or, even worse, what if one of those dogs jumps the fence and begins fighting with your dog? Here are a few tricks I’ve learned to break up a fight in order to protect your dog:
