Save St Mary\’s Malaga:CNB/GCN Continues to Follow Church Closing Debacle

Overall the piece is certainly well done, although there are some very insignificant inaccuracies. For example, though Julie\’s non-Catholic husband (\”Kelley\”) does certainly have views on the situation, he does not write articles (or poems for that matter) for the Save St. Mary\’s website. Occasionally he has been so disgusted with outright lies of the Diocesan Administration that he\’s written pieces for his own personal blog, which are then linked to by SSM. This is, of course, ironic since people like him are who Galante is supposedly trying to reach but who he is instead alienating. Sadly, Bishop Galante has also succeeded in alienating young families, older Catholics, and, well, most people in between so far as we can tell. Strangely, all those who we knew who would have considered the possibility of coming into the Faith have put the possibility completely out of their minds because of what they are currently seeing.

Disappointed with Brooklawn Mayor & Council

I and several other residents of Brooklawn attended a Council meeting on 11/16/09, Monday evening.\"6a00d8341bf7d953ef011570924c58970b-200wi\"

I am extremely disappointed with the Mayor and council with regards to sketchy answers given regarding serious questions.

Questions were asked regarding what \”appears to be\” work done on private properties in conjunction with publicly funded jobs that leaves the residents of Brooklawn wondering just how that private property work was paid for.

The best Mayor and council could do was refer us to filing OPRA requests for documents to verify that information as Mayor and Council were unaware of what those jobs entailed initially,(which I find hard to believe). I was told only the town engineers would be aware of the actual job specs.

A disappointing answer to a valid legitimate question that the residents of Brooklawn deserve to have an answer to. Its kind of strange that Mayor and Council voted to move ahead on projects that they now claim to have no knowledge about what was included on those jobs.

Other questions with regards to Brooklawn are that several council people have been found in violation of construction permits and tax assessments by the Camden Co. Board of Taxation. The residents of Brooklawn want and deserve answers from the representatives but to date Mayor and Council seem unwilling to provide acceptable answers to clarify to the tax payers what is being done, why its being done, and how its being paid for.

Unwillingness to communicate with the people you represent. Proceeding with work on town projects without any knowledge of what the work was supposed to entail. Knowing that work was done on privately owned properties and refusing to answer questions with regards to it. Then showing no interest in finding an answer as to why work was done on private properties in conjunction with a town project does not make for a prudent government with the towns best interest in mind.

DON\’T FORGET TO REPORT DEER HARVEST

\"White-tailImage via Wikipedia

The Pennsylvania Game Commission counts on hunters to provide information on the deer they harvest. And, to make reporting a deer harvest easier, the Game Commission reminds hunters that they can now file their harvest reports through the agency’s new online system.

To report a deer harvest online, go to the Game Commission’s website (www.pgc.state.pa.us), click on the blue box in the upper right-hand corner of the website, select \”Harvest Reporting,\” then click on the \”Start Here\” button at the bottom of the page, choose the method of validating license information, and click on the checkbox for the harvest tag being reported. A series of options will appear for a hunter to report a harvest. After filling in the harvest information, click on the \”Continue\” button to review the report and then hit the \”Submit\” button to complete the report. Failing to hit the \”Submit\” button will result in a harvest report not being completed.

\”Hunters may report one or more harvests in a single session,\” Roe said. \”Responses to all harvest questions are required.\”

Roe noted that hunters still have the option to file a harvest report postcard, which are included as tear-out sheets in the annual digest they received when they purchased their licenses.

\”We certainly are encouraging hunters to use the online reporting system, which will ensure that their harvest is recorded and save the Game Commission money on postage and data entry costs,\” Roe said. \”Either way, the more important point is that all hunters who harvest a deer report it to the agency.\”
