Police Appreciation Month starts Monday (Sept. 14) at the market with a breakfast featuring Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, District Attorney Lynne Abraham and City Council members.

Reading Terminal vendors are donating a percentage of sales made from Sept. 14 to 20.

ROWAN WOMEN’S SOCCER BLANKS HARTWICK, 6-0

ONEONTA, NY – The Rowan University women’s soccer team had a 6-0 victory over Hartwick College on the first day of the Mayor’s Cup Tournament on Saturday.

Rowan improves to 3-0, while Hartwick has a 1-1 record. In the other game on Saturday, The College of New Jersey defeated SUNY Oneonta, 2-1 in double overtime. On Sunday, Rowan faces SUNY Oneonta at 1:30 p.m. and The College of New Jersey faces Hartwick at 4 p.m.

The Profs were led by forward Jess Babice (jr. Groveville, NJ/Steinert) with two goals and one assist. Midfielders Nina Fragoso (so. Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Reg.) and Kate Bower (so. Farmingdale, NJ/Colts Neck) and forward Cathy Dyciewski (jr. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.) each found the net once. Midfielder Veronica Rhea (so. Pennsauken, NJ/Paul VI) contributed with three assists.
