Bellmawr Resident Jason Higgins Appointed Special Officer

Resident Jason Higgins was sworn in as a Class II Special Officer at Bellmawr’s July 23 Council Meeting.
Flanked by his family, Higgins’ oath was administered by Public Safety director John Bollinger, along with Police Chief William Walsh.
Bollinger, along with Mayor and Council, wished him the best of luck in his police future.
Mayor Frank Filipek Sr. was on hand, finally mobile following a two-month recuperation from hip surgery.
Filipek thanked everyone for their cards and well wishes.

New Jersey City University men’s basketball Hall-of-Famer and assistant coach Jonathan Greene posted a double-double of 21 points and a game-high 13 rebounds while NJCU head men’s basketball coach Marc Brown scored 12 points, including six in overtime, and delivered a game-best seven assists as the pair of Gothic Knight coaches led Larson Ford to a 105-98 victory over Sterns Trailer, 105-98, in the championship game of the 2009 Verizon FIOS Jersey Shore Basketball League on August 4.

Hi, i am just back from the church were we had Mass offering for the persecuted Christians in a slums were about 300 families. This place is about 22 minutes drive from our Convent. Last night at 2 a-m the slum was attacked some fighting was going on between the Christians and Muslims, they were trying to make peace but quietly they are prepared something else also.

36th Annual White Marlin Open
With registration over, the 2009 White Marlin Open will consist of 298 boats competing for $2 million in prize money. Spectators are welcome to visit Harbour Island during the tournament.

Now Is The Time To Make Yourself Heard At Town Hall Meetings!
The U.S. House of Representatives adjourned on July 31–and the U.S. Senate will adjourn next week–to start the Summer District Work Period. Both bodies will return after Labor Day. During this Summer District Work Period, your Senators and Representative will be back home in their states and districts.
Many lawmakers use this time to hold town hall meetings, and take questions from their constituents. These meetings offer a tremendous opportunity for you to personally voice your strong support for the Second Amendment.
