Mt. Ephraim Commissioners Take Steps to Cut Costs

By Bill Bates,

Mount Ephraim News Correspondent

It a continuing effort to limit operating costs, the Mount Ephraim Board of Commissioners (BOC) announced several resolutions that would help the borough control their day to day expenses as well as continue practicing shared services agreements.

The BOC determined that it would be the best interest of the borough to purchase office supplies through Office Basics, Incorporated of Boothwyn, PA through the Camden County Cooperative Pricing System for the next two years at 74% off the catalogue prices specified in the bid agreement. Office Basics was awarded the contract following a detailed bid process with Camden County.

The Uniform Shared Services Consolidation Act permits two local units to enter into a contract for any service which any party to the agreement is empowered to render within its jurisdiction.
