Elmer Catling Jr., of Bellmawr, WW II Veteran

 Age 85 of Bellmawr, on January 30, 2009. LEGACY Born in Camden and raised both there and Merchantville. He was a proud US Army Veteran and Navy Reserves and served during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post #9563, Bellmawr.

Prior to retirement in 1986 as general manager of circulation, Elmer was employed by Knight Ridder with the Philadelphia Inquirer for 30 years. He enjoyed the sounds of the Lennon Sisters and Lawrence Welk and liked to relax while watching professional wrestling.

FAMILY Beloved husband of 67 years to Dorothy J. (nee Lips); Devoted father of Gary S. Catling and the late Elmer J. \”Butch\”, Robert P. \”Bobby\”, and Joseph B. \”Joey\”; Loving grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 17.

FAREWELL SERVICE Viewing Tuesday 5-7pm in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME 34 Hunter St, Woodbury, NJ. Funeral service 7pm.
