Brooklawn Neighborhood \”Eyes and Ears\” Watch.

By Earl Foster

We had a great meeting on Sunday, January 11th discussing communications, safety, and some of the things we should be watching for.

Also discussed was the best and safest way for us to help our Police Dept. by ensuring we provide pertinent information as needed. Everyone provided great input and some great ideas were put on the table.

Our Membership now totals 22 and more are expected so were off to a good start.

Our next meeting will be held on Sunday evening, February 15th, from 7pm to 9pm at the Brooklawn Community Center.

Topics for this meeting will be, Organization of Block Capt/Spokes Persons who will serve as a communication point to gather information to be passed to the Police Dept, and to our group. We will also discuss and learn some items for home security and how this program starts with us at home.

If I didn’t have a dog

I could walk around the yard barefoot in safety. My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated. All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture and cars would be free of hair. When the doorbell rings, it would sound like a kennel. When the doorbell rings, I could get to the door without wading through fuzzy bodies who beat me there. I could sit on the couch and my bed the way I wanted, without considering how much space several fur bodies would need to get comfortable. I would have money….and no guilt to go on real vacation. I would not be on a first name basis with six veterinarians, as I put their yet unborn grand kids through college.
