Joseph P. McGinnis, of Brooklawn, WWII Veteran, Volunteer Fireman, 60 +member

McGINNIS, Joseph P., Age 85, of Brooklawn, on January 2, 2009. LEGACY Joseph was born and lived in Philadelphia for all his early life before enlisting in the $\"Cross5\"$ US Army and Air Force. He proudly served his country during WWII and later became a member of the local VFW Post and American Legion Post # 72. He played semi-pro football with the Lamont Shamrocks for a time but will always be known as a true Eagles and Notre Dame fan. Joseph could often be found dancing the night away with Teresa or fishing in Sea Isle City. He also spent much of his time volunteering at Cooper Hospital, as a Fireman in Brooklawn and as a member of the 60+ Club.

FAMILY Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Theresa R. (nee Killion); Devoted father of Joseph (Eileen), Thomas J., James, Mary Jane Sloan (Joe) and Kathleen Buchanan (Brad); Loving grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of one; Dear brother of Margaret \”Peggy\” Friel (Ed) and the late James and Mary McGinnis.

BellmawrWaterfront Property: Its BIGGER than you\’ve imagined

When hearing about the current proposal for the Bellmawr Landfill redevelopment that includes a Comcast Spectrum, and a mega Bass Pro Shops… and shopping…. AND FOUR Hotels…. Several have asked, \”How do they expect to fit that all in there?\”

Simply, the property is much larger than you\’ve imagined. The positioning of the roads, and the fact that most have not been on the property, creates an illusion that the property is smaller than it seems.

With the Eagles heading into the surprise playoff game Sunday… look at that stadium\’s size on TV and think \”would that fit into the landfill?\”. Well it does. And so does Citizens Bank Park. And Wachovia Center. And the Spectrum. Oh, and for the culture minded, even the Art Museum.

ALL AT THE SAME TIME. The redevelopment property is that big.
