Chuckles: Should children witness child birth?

Good question. Here\’s your answer.

Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call. The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby.

Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked. Heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry.

The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-yr old what she thought about what she had just witnessed.

Kathleen quickly responded, \’He shouldn\’t have crawled in there in the first place……smack him again!\’

If you don\’t laugh at this one, there\’s no hope for you.

Agnes Henefer, of Barrington active parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish, Camden City; Services Friday

HENEFER, AGNES
On November 17, 2008, Agnes \’Curly\’ (nee Guille), age 88, passed away.

A resident of Barrington for over 35 years, Agnes was the 1st drumcore majorette at Haddon Heights High School where she was a member of the 1939 graduating class. She worked as a clerk for many years at Pathmark, first in Camden then in Lawnside from where she retired. Agnes was also an active and devoted parishioner for many years at Sacred Heart Church in Camden.

Agnes was one of 13 children to the late, Alfred and Katie Guille. She was predeceased for many years by her beloved husband, Frank Henefer. She is lovingly survived by her lifelong companion, Frank Bonk of Camden; her son, Ronald (Donna) Henefer of Manahawkin; her 3 grandchildren, Nancy, Ron (Lorraine) and Tom (Siobhan); her 6 great grandchildren, Malia, Ronny, Lyndsey,Sabrina, Natalia and Eliana; her 2 sisters, Alma Brown of Ship Bottom and Mary Baird of Sicklerville as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday morning after 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 1739 Ferry Avenue, Camden where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment New St. Mary\’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Heart of Camden, 1742 Ferry Ave., Camden, NJ 08104.

John P. O\’Donnell former owner of O\’Donnell\’s Restaurant, WWII Coast Guard Veteran

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Gloucester City for John P. O’Donnell, 90, who died on November 4, 2008.

Beloved husband of Jackie (nee Fay). Loving father of J. Patrick O’Donnell (Donna) of Cherry Hill, Joanne O’Conner (Martin) of Gloucester, Joe O’Donnell (Bettyann) of West Deptford. Devoted grandfather of Marty, Erin, Meghan, Patrick, Jeanette, John, Michael, Joey and Kelly. Devoted great-grandfather of Charlotte, Jack and Reef. Dear brother of Marguerite Yusk of Pennsauken; Ann Theresa Taylor (Bill) of Ardmore, PA and sister-in-law Charlotte O’Donnell (the late Joseph) of Maple Shade.

A life-long resident of Gloucester, John was a Coast Guard Veteran of WWII who owned and operated O’Donnell’s Restaurant in Gloucester for over 47 years.

Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

In lieu of flowers contributions in John’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 426 Monmouth St. Gloucester City, NJ 08030.
