Getting out of Dodge…

While I\’m down there, I\’ll be fishing, spending time on the beach with my wife, and hopefully taking a few day trips to some secluded areas like Cayo Costa State Park…It\’s a park that is only accessible by boat, be it private or ferry. If you are ever in the area it\’s definitely a site to see. A couple of charter trips are run by Captiva Cruises, and Tropic Star Cruises…It is worth the trip no matter how you get there.

Also, this vacation will mark my first opportunity to fish with an experienced guide. During the last couple of years, I\’ve packed my rods, and tried my hand at chasing some of Florida\’s most popular game fish, the Redfish, Snook, and Tarpon. My fishing experience is limited to this area so Florida is a whole new world too me…I\’ve done moderately well on my own, but I hope with a guide I can take it up a notch and really land some nice fish.

Ewing, NJ (12/19/07) – With the release of the 2007 D3Football.com All-America Team, The College’s New Jersey’s senior defensive tackle, Joe King (Mountainside, NJ/Governor Livingston) has been placed on the All-America Second Team. King was named D3football.com 2007 East Region Defensive Player of the Year as well as a First Team All-East Region player.

King recorded 28 tackles for loss and 15 sacks while breaking up seven passes for the Lions, who held opponents to 70.5 rushing yards per game. He was also named the 2007 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year.

TCNJ, which had been picked seventh in the NJAC preseason coaches’ poll, finished the season with a 6-1 NJAC record and a share of the 2007 championship crown. The Lions advanced to the second round of the 2007 NCAA playoff before closing the year with a 9-3 record.

King capped his stellar athletic career having earned the Defensive Player of the Year honors from both the NJAC and the D3Football.com East Region. His final game was shortened by an injury, but not before he managed to add his final career sack. King was extended an invitation to compete in the 2007 AFCA’s Aztec Bowl, but had to decline the invitation due to the injury suffered in his final game. King earned NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors three times in 2007 as well as capturing ECAC Defensive Player of the Week honors once. He caps his stellar athletic career having excelled on the gridiron. On the 2007 season, he finished the year with 71 tackles with a team and league leading 28 tackles for a loss (-173 yards), while also adding 15 sacks (-125 yards). On his career, King racked up 148 career tackles with 56.5 tackles for a loss (-337 yards), while adding 34.5 sacks (-269 yards), with 14 pass break ups, four blocks and four fumbles in 39 games played. As of November 27, he was ranked fifth in Division III in sacks per game (1.3), while ranking third as well in tackles for a loss (2.3).

Beloved husband of Beatrice (nee Keefe). Devoted father of Dawn D. Haines (Robert), James S. (Denise) and Richard F. (Debra). Dear brother of Isabella Bechtel (George), Mary Knighton, Rocky Georgianna (Earlene), Kathryn Falkenstein (Bill) and the late Irene, Grace, Johnny, Frank, Henry and Vic. Loving grandfather of Kaci, Kate, Aly, Jamie, Kimberly, Kyle and Bradley and great grandfather of Caleb. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jim enjoyed farming, gardening and playing the ponies. He was a member of Local #25 Operations and Engineering and was employed by American Dredging Company for 40 years.

Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey women’s soccer team was well represented when the National Soccer Coaches Association of American dished out their post-season honors as two Lions were named NSCAA/adidas Women’s NCAA Division III All-Americans. In addition to the All-America citations, TCNJ had five players selected All-Mid-Atlantic Region.

Senior Dana DiBruno (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) reeled in All-America honors for the third straight year as the midfielder in addition to the Mid-Atlantic First Team. She was previously a 2005 First Team All-America and last season earned a spot on the second team. Earlier this season, the Lion standout was named the 2007 New Jersey Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year and All-NJAC First Team.

DiBruno, who was the 2004 NJAC Rookie of the Year and the 2005 NJAC Offensive Player of the Year, finished the season 14 goals and eight assists for 36 points leaving her as the program’s all-time leading scorer. She capped her career with 137 points on 55 goals and 27 assists and she also ranks second in career goals and fourth in assists.

Senior defender Courtney Krol (Howell, NJ/Howell) was named a third team All-America marking the second straight year she has been honored. In 2006, Krol was a first team honoree. In addition to the national honor, Krol was also named Mid-Atlantic First Team and was the 2007 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year marking the third straight year she has claimed that award and was All-NJAC First Team.

Krol contributed at both ends of the field for TCNJ scoring four goals and adding seven assists, while anchoring a defensive unit that has allowed only six goals in 22 games with 18 shutouts. The Lions ranked first nationally in goals-against-average at 0.257. In addition to her success on the field, Krol was also CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II College Division Second Team.

Two other Lions were named to the All-Mid-Atlantic First Team as junior Jamie Kunkel (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) and sophomore Briann McDonough (North Arlington, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) earned the honor for the first time.

Kunkel finished the season as the team’s leading scorer with 17 goals and six assists for 40 points with all three of those numbers being career highs. Those 17 goals were the third best total for a single season in program history and her 40 points ranks fourth. The forward was also an All-NJAC First Team selection.

McDonough was another key component to TCNJ’s offense as the forward finished third on the team in scoring with 32 points on 10 goals and 12 assists. McDonough led the NJAC in assists and set career highs in every offensive category, while being named All-NJAC Second Team.

The final Lion honored was goalie Jessica Clarke (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) as she was named All-Mid-Atlantic Third Team. The 2007 NJAC Goalkeeper of the Year and All-NJAC First Team pick led the nation in goals-against-average at a mere 0.238 a game and was 13th in save percentage at .891. She finished the year with a 21-1-1 record with 12 solo shutouts and six more combined.

The Lions finished the 2007 campaign with a 21-1-1 record and advanced to the NCAA Division III semifinals for the third straight season. TCNJ also won its third straight NJAC Championships winning the conference tournament following an 8-0-1 conference mark during the regular season.

In a plea bargain reached in Vernon Municipal Court, Kazemian, 50, pleaded guilty to two disorderly persons charges of resisting arrest and a summons of interfering with state Fish & Wildlife officials. In exchange, summonses alleging he poured urine in a bear trap to deter bruins, trespassed on a neighbor\’s property and harassed another neighbor were dismissed.

Beloved husband of Dolores (nee Montemurro). Devoted father of Justin Frank Jr, Frederik Frank, and Carmela Frank. Loving grandfather of Jennifer and Gina Marie Brown.
Mr. Frank worked as a yardmaster for Conrail for 35 years retiring in 1984. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of VFW and American Legion.
