Mary Burr To be honored Friday

Mount Ephraim Woman Among County Residents To Be Honored

For about 50 years, Mary Burr has been a constant presence at her Mount Ephraim church.

She takes care of the altar and cleans the linens at Sacred Heart Church. She handles the books for the church\’s House of Charity. She teaches religion to the second graders on Thursdays.

\”I like it, and the people are so nice,\” she said. \”It\’s like a family up there.\”

The church community said thank you by nominating Burr, 78, for Camden County\’s Martin Luther King Freedom Medal.

GIAMPAOLA, ASSUNTA A. \’SUE\’
(nee Maglio), on January 16, 2007, of Bellmawr, age 85.
Beloved wife of the late Nicholas. Devoted mother of Susanne Giampaola and the late David R. and mother-in-law of Bette Giampaola. Loving grandmother of Gina Levins (Wil), Dana Scarborough (John) and Nicole Giampaola and great grandmother of Ariella, John, Maddie, David and Gracie. Dear sister of Joseph Maglio.
Sue was a member of the Bellmawr Senior Citizens and the Timber Creek Chapter of Deborah Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Friday evening from 7pm to 9pm and Saturday morning from 8:15am to 9:15am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, BELLMAWR. Funeral Mass 10am Saturday at Mary, Mother of the Church, Bellmawr. Interment New St. Mary\’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

On January 18, 2007. Age 52. Of Gloucester City. Devoted father Robert (Christine) Revero of Blackwood and Kevin (fiance Joanna Valisakis) of Bellmawr. Loving son of Ruth (nee Anderson) Revero. Beloved grandfather of Robert and Aundrea Revero. Dear Brother of William (Kate) Revero, Susan Eldridge, Naomi Revero, Pamela Revero, Daniel (Maryrose) Sherman and David (Theresa) Sherman. Caring Brother-In-Law of Joe and Florence Handy, Joann and Mike Cox. Son-In-Law of Leona Handy. Godfather of Nicole Handy. Also survived by Walter (Stepfather of Robert and Kevin Revero) and his wife Diane Houser, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his visitation on Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Catholic Memorial Service 1 pm in the funeral home. Cremation is private at the request of the family. There will be no evening visitation. The family requests that no flowers for the visitation.

Obit Murtha (Rams graduate)

MURTHA, JOSEPH J. JR.
Age 64, of Williamstown, NJ passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007. Born in Camden on June 7, 1942, he attended Sacred Heart School in Camden and was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School in 1960. He earned a BA degree from Rowan University in 1964. He taught school for many years, and was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The son of the late Joseph J. Sr. and Florence G. (nee Casto), he is survived by his sons, Michael of Parlin, NJ, Thomas (Toni), of Queen Creek, AZ, and Kevin (Wanda), of Staten Island, NY; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Charles, Thomas, Jr., Matthew, and Sofia and his siblings, Mary Budesa (Richard), of Cherry Hill, Florence of Williamstown, Doretta (Ronald) Scott of Williamstown, John (Joanne) of Barrington and the late Gerald (Catherine) and seven nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Joe on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 12:30PM in The Church of St. Bridget, 125 Church St. Glassboro, NJ. Cremation and burial are private.
